your decision. but i think it´s the wrong one, even when i partially may understand and of course have to respect it.

it´s a little ... unfair towards all your fans. and there has alway been a chance to pm any of the mods to point out things here when you had the feeling of being "left alone".

I think I tried the Dushku one before and it didn't go well. That Jennifer Garner one I'm not sure you could do anything but make worse-it's pretty good already. You know who used to be REALLY good at those ones that were already partly see through but not quite? Mollymutt. He was the king of that stuff, had a great touch. Wonder what happened to that boy?

Absolutely. I've never felt like the mods here were ever leaving me out to dry-they've been there whenever we've needed help, pretty much 24/7, especially Kieks. Props to those guys.

I just want to be clear here...I appreciate the work you guys do on making the actual X-ray pics. I do a little of it myself, but I'm not really that good. I don't have the powerful software to do it with, and I just never dedicated too much time to it. I think bashing is lame, and though I've been perceived as one of the bashers, I am not.

I am just curious as to what the appeal of some of these pictures are. For instance, the picture Terrapin did of Elisha on this very page (or maybe the one before it, depending on where this post ends up). That picture is obviously painted, burned, whatever you want to call it. That isn't a see-thru in the sense that I am aware of. Now, don't get me wrong, I am sure it takes a lot of work and patience to make that picture happen, and I applaud you for it, sincerely, and I admire the reputation you guys have built on this forum...I'm just curious as to what the appeal is. Is everyone aware that those aren't really Elisha's nipples we're looking at? If so, that's fine by me, I really am just curious.

Anyway, people shouldn't be quitting over criticism. There are plenty of people who give thanks after every picture posted, so why be bothered by the few who give you grief? Just ignore them. And seriously, I am not being a jerk here, I really just am curious as to what these pictures are all about. I'm not calling them fake, per se, I'm just wondering if the artistic merit involved in creating them is the draw, is it the fantasy of it, or what.

Man c-through was really the main reason i came to this thread, i know terrapin does some great work, but just not my cup of tea. With him gone, i guess its time to take this off my favorites list.

    Cheers

Mine either-no matter what the occasional visitor might think.

And I disagree with diz by the way-I have gotten, and have seen others get shoes, ankle bracelets, garters, tan lines, waist chains, and tattoos to show up. Not to mention the occasional pack of cigarrettes or lighter tucked in a pocket, keys, and other items.

So anyway, old story, old song. If you're not on board, don't hang around and complain about it. We're not interested. And we all long ago lost any desire to try to change your mind, or make our case. Got better things to do.

I'm still lurking around. I come by almost every day. When I was doing a lot of this, I wasn't working. Now I am, and I don't have as much free time, and when I do, usually my wife is here (not very conducive to internet creepery). BTW, I took a crack at the Dushku pics, and I didn't get anything to write home about. Anyway I would also like to ask C-through to reconsider leaving here. I know from experience how irritating constant flaming can be, but you need to realize that there are way more people who appreciate what you do than flame you. Give us another try.

just registered but been checkin this thread and others since day one pretty much. anyway, thank you for all of your work.

especially terrapin for havin such a great way of (not) dealing with all the drama here (y). and you've gotten stuff to appear at places i could never have imagined!

and lastly, i do find it a bit odd that not very many in here can take criticism about your work. usually people are just curious, like the poster on top of this page, or just wanting to point out that something isn't very good. of course some are just rude and that's a totally different thing. but ive read pretty much all pages in this thread and really, most people are just pointing things out or expressing a thought, and if it's done in a semi-fashionable way i personally don't see reason to bash on them, tellin them to go somewhere else. bein able to take constructive criticism is obviously a good thing and i do believe most of "these people" are not haters, but just posting something a lot of other people are thinking about.

anyway, thanks for all the work! im pretty alright with x-rayin as well and hopefully gonna try and make an effort to get something up.

As an artist (by trade) I am always accepting of criticism. Both good and bad, even better I am always up for for suggestions on how to make things better. C-Through was offering just this. I don't know why everyone is getting so up in arms over that. I wasn't offended, it was directed to me, so why is everyone taking my side. Especially since I am the new guy. Anyhow, it sucks (Really it does) that everyones comments caused him to leave this thread. His presence will be missed. However, with this being the finally note. Please, let's move on and forget about it. Flame Wars are for losers:p.

Then how do you get nipples to show up through leather? You're turning non-transparent material into completely transparent material. That just isn't possible. That's all I'm saying. I have no problem with it, dude, it's very good work. And because it has artistic merit, you shouldn't care what any detractors have to say about it.

Excellent! Post early and often. I look forward to seeing what you can do. I've been pretty surprised at the quality of what's been showing up here recently-seems like over the past say 30 pages we've really had some great stuff from various new contributors.

As for how I respond to certain things, well, let me just say this: (And I'm not referring to you here). Asking questions is one thing. However, most of the time, and in this most recent instance as well, it's not about that. It's clearly not about how I go about making something happen, it's more of a complete disbelief in the whole thing. No matter how someone couches their statements, if you just don't buy in to the whole thing, then it's not about me, it's about the whole thread. And my response then is why are you even bothering? If you don't believe any of what you're seeing, why would you A: continue to look and B: Bother to comment? When I see those posts, I just know what's coming. Nothing I (or anyone else here) says is going to change their mind, they just argue with you some more. They're not going to be happy at that point until someone rolls over and tells them they're right. Which isn't going to happen because I don't think they are. It's been happening every few pages since the beginning of the thread, and I guess it's just gotten old. I got in the middle of some massive wars trying to defend something these people were never going to accept. So my stock answer now is just what you've seen-If you're not on board, why are you here? I just no longer have any level of interest in that discussion-I've had it too many times. To the one or two out of 500 guys who weren't planning on heading down that road but sounded like it and got that response, sorry 'bout that. But I'm not changing my thinking on that, because I DO believe there's something working here. And at that point there's really not much more to talk about. I KNOW I'm right, and they think I'm an ass. Stalemate. CT turned himself into a crazy person trying to reason with these folks. Lot of good it did him.

As far as folks coming after me personally, well, actually they come after everyone. I spent a lot of time early in the thread telling people to back off crticizing each others work, and it will still get you banned. It was the only thing I disagreed with CT about-he had the resume to do it, but I still didn't agree with it. I don't worry too much about the attacks, because I just don't care what they think. I will be interceding if the attacks on other posters start again.

As long as I'm rambling, I'll just say this-I have no idea how what I'm doing really works. And sometimes it works on one pic in a series and none of the others. And sometimes it will work on a pic you think it never would. I don't know. Sometimes what looks like really thick material just melts away. Other times it's like those Mandy Moore shots I commented on-I spent literally a month on those, I mean all she had on was basically colored saran wrap and fuck if I could get anything out of it. Just wouldn't work, I had the whole set in HQ and tried them all. No dice. But I'm not big into the burn tool, and in fact i try to lighten things up if they start getting too dark. I've taken to using the control that makes the black blacker instead of the contrast-haven't made up my mind if I like it better yet or not. The VAST majority of the pics I try don't work, not even a little. I know everyone else has the same experience there I do. So I reject the notion that we are all just making these up. If that were the case, I'd have a shit load more to post. And they'd look a lot better too. So would everyone else's.

But once again-none of the above drivel will mean squat to someone who isn't down with the basic premise. And I can't keep running this same post every 6 pages when another skeptic shows up and wants to engage. So I think my stock reply is actually a fairly legitimate point of view. Blunt, yes: Rude, no. I'm just not going to spend a lot of time trying to change minds that can't be changed. It's like a monkey trying to fuck a football.

Man I've run off at the mouth again. Nuff said.

    Looking forward to your posts..

Is there anyway we can cut out all the talk about it..and move on? If he comes back, he comes back.. No one here is going to change his mind.

Those that are mad at c-through are mad because he sometimes acted like this was HIS thread. But who cares. He probably did check and monitor and post more pictures than anyone else so who cares if he took it upon himself to be the moderator of this thread.

You complain he acted like this is HIS thread..but then you talk what 3 or 4 whole pages about HIM. You aren't changing anything by either continuing to bash him or by newbies saying 'hey come back.' (nothing against the newbies that posted)

Lets get back to the real point of this thread..posting pics..and all agree to move on..with or without him. If he winds up to come back and contribute then great.. but if he unfortunately doesn't, then we at least got over it and forgot about it.
