Celebrity and Model Collages and Edits

Aww that sux, you guys were a force with the edit creations.
Hope ya find a lil bit of time here and there to make some new ones
Cuz im sure they will be great as always

 

i'll try, but i do post to quite afew different boards

my main love is making seamless collages, as they are require more work and imagination most of the time.. i started making edits for abit of fun & to mix things up alittle.

i got inspired to make edits from Brainscan, i think he was the first to start doing it, so i followed and the rest soon did alittle while after

 

i try to make afew each week, but ends up being once every 2-3wks

i currently have over 400 pics in my 'pics to edit' folder, so i have plenty of material, lol

EDIT: It is an honor to have 2 of the premier Internet imaging artists for the past several years here. So, now, can we beat Gman and DeadLamb to their own posts? Probably not.

 

no real best way, everyone has a fav tech.. I'm a fan of using a layer pulling format being it lets one redo edits really easy.. The idea being that rather then working one overlap of layer A over B, you dupe B (making layer C) and work on that one.

so rather then just trying to fade one over the other you can have two base layers, then two edited layer and/or two faded layers + a hard edge layer or whatever. All being able to be moved around or 'redone' by just making yet another copy of the original layer or part of the original..

it also lets you have cleaner layer fades IMO.
think of layer A over B and you just cut away B at some % of fade.. You have to be careful not to get to close to the person and just have the background..

Now picture if you were working on a "copy of B" called C.. you could fade that way into the subject mater, who cares if you lose 1/2 of their arm or fade out most of their head? Being you are going to make yet another copy of "b" that will be just the subject mater..

sort of an example.. Upper is the final pic, others are green screen passes to show the layers over lap, each one being dupe of some "base" layer

 

oh and I read past 120+ pages I saw a few people saying they could not build stuff that was being posted.. Sure you can, it just takes some practice..

No one started out making the same level of stuff they end up with a while later. Maybe they have been making pics for years but trust me, they started out making pics that looked like were just starting out making stuff.

I went from this to that over time.. View it like a hobby and pick subject maters you like, no big deal. It's not a contest after all.

Really nice overlays with that tech, i just needed my coffee to understand all of it. hehe.

Can mods sticky the tech's in the first post in this thread perhaps. or maybe it's there and im to lazy to go back

 

If any kind artists here might oblige, I'd love to see some HQ montages of the always-hot Gillian Anderson from her movie "Straightheads" (or "Closure" in the US) lots of choice hot moments in that movie....

awwwww search for poor Marnette Patterson pulled up three whole threads, one of them being a movie thread for this film "Cloud 9" but that's about it..

sigh.. Always thought she should be a much bigger star but so far it's just not happened.. Then again, it's not like hollywood is hurting for hot blond chicks.

I'm not going to dig around that much in my backlog of vidcaps but I'll post at least a few of them for the lesser known stars at least. The idea being maybe it makes someone want to try to make some stuff themselves.

so few vidcappers now that it's a pretty open nerd hobby for someone to take a shot at.. Lots of DVDs and tv shows ya know, you never run out of stuff to work with..
