Signature of the Week - Discussion thread

Yeah, I thought about that, but we had 65 votes last week... I doubt that it would be a lot more if we had voting on weekdays.

 

This was the first week, it will take a little time to become more popular like all threads of this nature does. If you have less this way adjust it if you need, if not leave it as it is.

 

probably the best option for now (it´s too easy to klick "thanks" acccidentially) - you might want to ask Cayne if our vbulletin-revision allows and he is willing to increase the max.-poll-options, though.

 

i was just about to ask if that would be possible. i think it is the best way of voting.

 

Can you have a poll in the first and second post or only the first?


If no poll will work them go with numbered sigs and everyone choose their number. That way jaketogo wont fuck it up. And if it goes that way then once you vote you can't edit your post or its void. That way you cant steer the voting at the last minute.

OK, Sorry but I am confused...

1. Entries will need to be in by Friday, correct?

2. Anyone who has already submitted an entry could send you another and have the previous one removed, Correct?

3. Those submitting sigs for the contest must have "signature" as the text. Not Phun.org or anything else, correct? Does someone have to resubmit if they did not do this?

4. Voting begins and ends when?

I think thats it... except that I need a drink now.

 

If this is true then I'll change mine and send a new one.

I did like how it came out with the text I have on there though.

I'd like to think that it's optional whether you put text in it or not.

 

It's optional if you want to add text but what I was saying is that if you do put text it should be the same thing for everyone. I like to write "signature" but someobdy else might write "nickname". I would then know who's sig that is. It's not a big deal but if we are trying to make this as anonymous as possible I think it's a good idea.

 

Totally agree. We should all just decide on something to write if we do want to add text. Signature would be the obvious choice.

 

Guys can someone summarize the deadlines?
Deadline for participating-Duration of Voting?Cause if the deadline for participations is today(Tuesday) then why will the voting be the weekend to come?

i agree that there should be a standard text.
but can it start next week? i've merged mine and a few others have aswell.

 

Ditto, I can't go back and change mine to resubmit without remaking it completley.

If there's standard text next it'd be a lot easier.

 

Remember, since we are doing themes, sometimes text works with the sig. Say the winner picks next weeks theme to be football. Having the teams name or incorporating something like "Fighting Irish" into the sig helps fit the theme and the sig. I don't think there should be a rule, as it may negativly effect the end result. Just my .02
