    hey there,

It took me almost 5 years, but finally I came through and got a designer to make me a phun.org shirt:

What do you think about it?

On the other hand I want to ask you creative guys here, to make our own t-shirt design. I plan to get 3 different designs printed. So if you're interested do a creative design and post it in this thread. Afterwards we're going to have a poll and print the 3 most popular designs. You'll be able to order them for around 15 bucks I guess.

Only rule: Do not use more than 3 colors. That's a technical limitation by the printing shop.

That's a little busy for my taste - sorry, just being honest. I'm sure the guys here will come up with some great ideas though. Nice idea! Will be great advertising.

I like the idea, but like Bama said, it's a bit busy. That may just be the presentation tho.
Could you post just the actual design without the shirt or repli-background?

That would give a clear idea of your product.

The current one is great, but I'm anxious to see what other ideas are thought of.

Before I get cooking on any ideas, Cayne do you have any size requirements for the actual file? That way when the voting comes around we can submit a small version but have the full blown file saved so it would be able to be printed?

    Cheers,

I don't think the files-size matters. Of course to view it on a image-uploader it shouldn't be 20megs, but later for the print, I don't think it matters.

I'm still waiting to see some creative input, go people. This shirt is going to be worn by maybe 100 people and your design would be on top of it...go for it :D

Well, maybe the shirt isnt too busy, but to my eye, all the extra stuff in the whole presentation picture distracts me from really looking at the logo he presented. Maybe when we see the logo alone it wont be too busy. Cant say yet.

Do you have a particular font (Site) you want used?
How big dimensionally do you want the default? Is there a particular DPI that your printer uses? CMYK? or CMYK+Black? are all the shirts going to be the same color(black)? I see by the example that you printer isnt using stippling to generate shades, is this a limitation?

It might be a little busy. Why not offer 2 designs? A "busy" one and "basic" one that can be worn in more conservative settings?

I think this design is pretty cool and very much in tune with a lot of t-shirts designs.

as good as it is, I think the many of the Phun creative stalwarts can do even better. the only problem will be deciding which design is best. everything our creative members do is amazing. ;)

I hope he answers the technical questions soon, i wanna get started but theres no reason to do things twice. Since the chosen work is going into a physical medium theres a lot more rules than usual. Mostly, I want to know about gradient usage. How much are we allowed? If any.
