Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     That's good to hear Lukin! Maybe interest has been re-lit with some people, and a few new members never hurt it either.

    It really slowed down there for a while though, it was sad to see. I'll try my best to contribute as much as possible though, and this week was automatic with a theme as good as this!

    can't help but feel my mind would be elsewhere and therefore counter productive. i mean i 'like' the game, but not to that level of devotion!

    i'm thinking of changing the rules slightly but i figure it affects everyone who takes part so i'd get some feedback first.

    as it stands, the poll goes up on thursday night (usually ;)) and voting lasts for 3 days. i've noticed that within 24 hours of the poll going up, there's usually about 30 votes, and by 48 hours there's pretty much already the number of votes we finish on.

    firstly, i propose shortening the voting time to 48 hours instead of 72. this could however result in the loss of a few 'opportunist' voters who wouldn't usually contribute but stumble on the poll towards the end. in a close race, that could be decisive. i do believe we'd still get atleast 95% of the votes we'd get with 72 hour voting though.

    secondly, if that happens, would people rather have the extra 24 hours before or after the submission? i think leaving submission at thursday night would be better as it means the new theme is announced on sunday, which i think will work better for most people. or i could postpone submission to friday night instead of thursday. but who wants to be working on sigs on a friday night?!

    thoughts please...

    yeah i think 3 days voting is too long.

    hopefully we can get an idea of whether people would prefer friday or sunday as the extra day
