Taylor Swift’s Speak Now topped the Billboard 200 this week for a fifth week, holding on to the #1 spot with 77,000 in sales.

That’s a 72% drop – numbers were down across the board as the Christmas season officially ended. Also gone are the Chirstmas-themed albums that had populated the Top 10 for the last several weeks. Susan Boyle’s The Gift, for instance, drops from #2 to #39.

No new albums debuted in the Top 10 this week, though both Daft Punk’s TRON: Legacy and Mumford & Sons’ Sigh No More reached new chart peaks at #6 & #8.

    Billboard 200 Top 10

    1. Taylor Swift – Speak Now, 77,000
    2. Eminem – Recovery, 63,000
    3. Rihanna – Loud, 62,000
    4. Nicki Minaj – Pink Friday, 61,000
    5. Kanye West – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, 59,000
    6. Daft Punk – TRON: Legacy (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), 54,000
    7. Bruno Mars – Doo-Wops & Hooligans, 45,000
    8. Mumford & Sons – Sigh No More, 39,000
    9. Katy Perry – Teenage Dream, 38,000
    10. Keyshia Cole – Calling All Hearts, 37,000

When you think of best-selling country albums, you tend to think of artists who have achieved gold or platinum status. Nowadays, albums that debut at the top of the country charts are lucky to see 50,000 copies sold that first week, & then sales dwindle from there. The albums on this list are mega-selling albums. Each has sold at least 10 million copies, & these artists are among music icons like The Beatles, Billy Joel and Whitney Houston when it comes to record sales.

Note: I am not including greatest hits albums on this list. So, while Kenny Rogers' Greatest Hits has sold over 12 million copies, it's not listed.

    10. Garth Brooks - 'The Chase'

Garth Brooks is someone you'll see on this list several times. His album The Chase, like his previous release Ropin' the Wind, topped both Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart and Billboard's Country Albums chart, selling 403,000 copies in its first week. It has since sold 9x Platinum. Four singles were released from the album: "We Shall Be Free" (No. 12), "Somewhere Other Than the Night" (No. 1), "Learning to Live Again" (No. 1), and "That Summer" (No. 1).

    9. Garth Brooks - 'Garth Brooks'

Garth Brooks' self-titled debut album barely made Billboard's Country Albums chart, as it debuted at No. 71 on the May 20, 1989 chart. It eventually peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, and No. 13 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. It has since sold 10x Platinum. He released four singles from the album: "Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)," "If Tomorrow Never Comes," "Not Counting You" and "The Dance." "Much Too Young" peaked at No. 8, but the second single became his first No. 1.

    8. Garth Brooks - 'Sevens'

Sevens was Garth Brooks' seventh studio album release. It debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and Billboard Country Albums chart. The album has since sold 10x Platinum. The first 777,777 copies were marked as First Editions, and contained a gold seal on the cover of the CD booklet and on the CD itself. Twelve of the fourteen songs on the album charted on the Billboard Country Songs chart, although only four were actual singles. He had No. 1s with "Longneck Bottle" and "Two Pi?a Coladas," while his duet with Trisha Yearwood, "In Another's Eyes," and "She's Gonna Make It" topped out at No. 2.

    7. Dixie Chicks - 'Fly'

The Dixie Chicks' sophomore release, Fly, was a huge seller, coming in at 10x Platinum. It debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Country Albums chart and the Billboard Top 200 Album chart. Seven of the tracks were released as singles, providing the group with four more Top 5 singles, including two more No. 1 songs -- "Cowboy Take Me Away" and "Without You." The Dixie Chicks also won two more Grammy Awards, for Country Album, and Best Country Performance by a Group or Duo, for "Ready To Run," which was also part of the Runaway Bride soundtrack.

    6. Garth Brooks - 'Double Live'

Garth's only live album is his third best-selling album, at 21x Platinum. Of course, there are two CDs counted for each Double Live album sale, so it's actually 10.5 million physical copies sold. That's quite a feat. This album debuted at No. 1 on both Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart and Billboard's Country Albums chart, breaking records as it sold 1 million copies the first week. This album had six different commemorative covers. It was released with a cover of Garth surrounded by flags from several different countries. Then, in each of the following five weeks, a new commemorative cover was released, featuring photos of different performances.

    5. Dixie Chicks - 'Wide Open Spaces'

Wide Open Spaces was the Dixie Chicks' major label debut. The album has to date sold 12x Platinum. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart, No. 4 on the Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, and produced 5 singles, including 3 No. 1's - "There's Your Trouble," "Wide Open Spaces" and "You Were Mine." The album also won a Grammy for Best Country Album, and the girls won Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group Grammy for their performance of "There's Your Trouble."

    4. Shania Twain - 'The Woman in Me'

Shania Twain's The Woman in Me has earned sales of 12 x Platinum, and becomes her second best selling album of her career. Released in 1995, the album was nominated, and won the Grammy for Best Country Album the following year. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart, and No. 5 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart. Eight songs charted on Billboard's Country charts, including "Any Man of Mine," "(If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here," "You Win My Love" and "No One Needs to Know," which all topped the country charts.

    3. Garth Brooks - 'Ropin' the Wind'

Ropin' the Wind was the first country album to debut at No. 1 on both Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart and Billboard's Country Albums chart, and becomes Garth's second best selling album of his career, at 14 x Platinum. Five singles charted on Billboard's country charts - "Shameless," "What She's Doing Now" and "The River" all topped the country charts, while "Rodeo" and "Papa Loved Mama" peaked at No. 3.

    2. Garth Brooks - 'No Fences'

No Fences is Garth Brooks best selling album of his career, at 17 x Platinum. While the album debuted at No. 15, it eventually reached No. 1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart, and No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. It contains some of Garth's biggest hits, "Friends in Low Places," "Unanswered Prayers," "Two of a Kind (Workin' on a Full House)" and "The Thunder Rolls." All four of these songs went to No. 1.

    1. Shania Twain - 'Come On Over'

When you're talking about the top selling country album of all time, Shania Twain has the record hands down at over 20 x Platinum. She's also the biggest selling female of all time in any genre of music. Interestingly, the album did not debut at the top of the Billboard's Country Albums chart, but came in at No. 2, selling 172,000 copies the first week. Eleven songs charted on country radio, including three No. 1's - "Love Gets Me Every Time," "You're Still the One" and "Honey I'm Home."
