The secret is to only use 2 slices, or the bacon flavor overwhelms the flavor of the omelet. I got lucky the first time and used 2 (I was thinking about using 4).

 

And, I would think secrete No. 2 would be to cook the bacon very crispy.

It's microwave bacon. I read the instructions and left it in twice as long, thinking the same thing you just mentioned.

EDIT: So, that means it's pre-cooked.

 

I had always wanted to try that bacon, because it's faster with less cleanup.

I made the mistake of signing a petition online and now Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon won't leave me alone.

 

This is the recipe I found online:
