I have a good size chipper/shredder, so I turn about 95% of all my yard trash into mulch and put it in my flower beds. We can't burn here in the city where I live and I rarely put anything out by the curb for yard trash pickup.

doing quite good holecard.. though it's been raining all day and it's gonna rain all day tomorrow I have managed to finish the valve adjustment on the head on my carengine.. now as soon as the weather get better I can bolt it back on the rest of the engine which is in the car and hopefully I can start it and all is well.. probably not but who knows

I can burn anything whenever I like to.. as long as I don't tell anyone about it

I need to get me a chipper. That would save me the trouble of burning, and save on buying mulch also.

We are starting to get thunder and clouds right now. No rain yet though. I hope the car starts ok once you get it back together. Will you have to reset the timing?

I felt the same way, but then I got scared the neighbors would call and report me.

it's high probability for thunder tomorrow here

both yes and no.. I have to place the timingbelt in the right position when I put it back but other than that the timing shouldn't have changed since it's fixed in these engines and the cpu is controlling it... will have to change the belt in a while but it's not that important since nothing in the engine breaks if the belt snap.

I bought a Troy-built....about 14 HP and takes up to a 3 inch diameter piece of wood. So most everything I have will either fit into the chipper part or I cut up and use in my wood stove for winter heat. It has a large top hopper you can put leaves and twigs, etc. in. I have to use a ramming stick often for both operations. Like you said, the mulch has value and nutrients that the plants like. So I save on mulch and fertilizer. I paid about $900 for it in the spring of 2010. I had a smaller one, but had sold it when I got out of doing the yard myself and hired a full yard service, but had to give up the yard service when I retired and lost $60,000 in annual income.

Im in the middle of changing the brake shoes in my pickup truck. When I pulled the hub off, I found that the brake cylinder on one was busted and leaking also. So I had to halt the job until I get a new one of those.

$900 dont sound bad, probably cost about $1000 to 1200 for that same model now though. I think I will get one before next spring.

:33: When I threw or broke the timing chain, I had to replace all of the push rods in the valve train.....seems the pistons collided with the valves when the timing went out. The good news is that the push rods were cheap. Seems the push rods were designed to crumple so the valve stems would not be damaged. I still ended up doing a top end overhaul on that Chrysler 318 V8 with 275K miles on it....I finally sold that van with over 400K miles for $500.
