INFO FORUM ISSUES (Cont'd)

There's nothing wrong, but it's not your fault either.

By default, most forums will only show the threads that have been updated in last week or in some cases the last month. But, the threads are still there and you can show more of them by using the controls at the bottom of the thread list or by defining your own default in your settings.

In the case of the new Softcore forum, I've increased the time limit to show all threads since it's new and doesn't have many threads yet. That will probably be reduced in the future when it begins to fill up.

For the 2 week period starting on the 31st until now, we got 1,334 new registrations which is about a 36% increase compared to the previous weeks. But, if you look at just the few days after, it was more like a 240% increase over the norm.

What's happening here is that Google has flagged Picturescream (and others have reported the same problem with ShareNXS) as serving malware, probably from an ad they are running. That ad may or may not actually be something to actually worry about. It might just be an intrusive ad of some kind and not necessarily a serious threat. It also doesn't mean that it was even on the linked Picturescream/ShareNXS page in question, it could be elsewhere on their site. But, once it passes whatever Google's detection threshold is, anything from that domain name will be considered suspect.

As for Phun, in this case it appears that we're hosting some of the smilies on Picturescream instead of our own server. But, you may see the same thing in threads that have links or thumbs leading to one of these hosts. It's just seeing a suspect domain name linked and tries to prevent you from even being able to click on it. But regardless of whether it's a legitimate threat on Picturescream/ShareNXS, viewing the page here on Phun is perfectly safe.

These things happen with ads and it will probably either be fixed or removed from the blacklist in the coming days.
