I finished recording a new track today, this one's is a blues in open D tuning. It's entitled "Ophelia's Blues". Hope you all enjoy!

This time I took Inca's advice and gave it more of a stereo mix, I also used the method of recording with sheets draped around. It was pretty cool too it was like I was 7 years old again and building a fort!

Anyways, there's a total of 3 tracks within the song, the main flatpicked guitar is the right channel but pans back to center when it's alone. The left channel has the slide guitar, along with a organ run through a tremolo effect, which really adds a harmonic drone to the whole thing.

I also tried my best and spent a lot of time with a 31 band equalizer in an attempt to cut down on excess hiss, and I think I accomplished it for the most part.

Anyways, I thought I'd add that in. Cheers!

That is absolutely superb Dan. I love it. The three parts work perfectly, and stereo was the right choice for it, gives them their own space to breathe. I'd maybe have given the slide guitar a lower noted tail in the last third of the song but thats just a personal taste thing. You got any more done so we could have a listen?

Thanks man! I had a post of 2 tracks earlier on, but the recording quality wasn't as good. You can check them out in this post:
