  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

"I use cloud technology right now for my writing, which means I can write anywhere. To this day not one of my pieces has shown up anywhere other than my own equipment."

Actually, since it's on the cloud, you havent the vaguest idea where or who or to what use your writing is being put. If your data is synching to the cloud Anybody with the proper access can do pretty much anything they want with it unless you happen to catch them.

I think probably this has become unproductive, you think I'm a paranoid cynic and I think you're too naive to survive in a capitalistic digital age,
I doubt either of us will change our opinions so lets just end it here.

Was an interesting conversation while it lasted, cya /wavey

I don't think you are a paranoid cynic. I just think you are over-reacting. You think because I challenge you on your ideas that somehow it's a combat situation?? Imagine that the two of us are sitting across from each other in a pub and read back our exchanges. They aren't obtuse, aggressive or antagonistic. They are simply two people talking and sharing opinions from other ends of the spectrum.

And as for opinions, if you show me something (in any arena) that makes sense then I will change my mind. That's me as a person. But to be honest, I don't think you found any of our conversation interesting, I think you just took the huff because I said the opposite of what your original rant was about.

And as for me not being able to "survive in a digital capitalist age" due to being "naive". I don't even know what that means. I don't sell my stuff anywhere and when I start to I don't give a shit if people take it, pirate it and share it all over the planet. It doesn't matter to me, I would rather a thousand people read my stuff for free than two people read it after paying for it.

And survive in a digital capitalist age? Don't even know what you are on about cy.
