As because especially in Celebs, it's somewhat difficult to know who is or is not ...

 

I dont know what you mean by customer friendly. There is nothing stated anywhere on phun that infractions and/or bans will be public knowledge. Ive been here almost 15 years magge and in that time, it has been very rare that bans or moderator actions are publicly discussed. So, Im not sure what spirit you are referring to. I think maybe sometimes because of the history with some of the long term members, the line between moderator and friend or buddy gets mixed up. Maybe thats where the spirit part comes into play, but neither myself or any other moderator is compelled to do anything based off the level of familiarity between themselves and another member.

If someone was banned, they broke a rule. Those are in print and available for anyone to view. Adhering to the rules should work out just fine as a solution to your dilemma.

 

Sure, i know there is no pay involved.
There must still be an opportunity to post and sometimes make mistakes.
In this case, a guy (probably) from France who posts good stuff. No malice ... just to contribute.

Do you think this page would have survived if it were not for the fact that people care.
Even if some users and Mods now become "friends", it may be because they respect each other.
... and for me it's the whole idea of being in a Forum.

You should all be damn aware that I appreciate your work you do here, but sometimes it goes wrong and then I have to have the opportunity to have views.
I mean absolutely nothing bad, but still want the opportunity to express my opinions without being devalued.
... We're not in China or Russia ... hopefully !

 

Its worth noteing that if there is an ongoing trend we see with plenty of infractions we do lift it publicly yo try and steer the ship phun.org on a better path. Take the subject of body shaming. We felt we needed to focus on it. And mods like maj spent some extra time in the celeb section to clean it up. But we informed you before hand this needs to stop.

No, Im not most interested in biting your head off. Im interested in doing my job and not having to be questioned on my actions. Do you have any clue the amount of bullshit I deal with from members here? You frequent the celeb sections. You know the type of people that frequent there. It wears your patience down at times. Add to that a member who has been here as long as you have, who knows how things go around here, that constantly questions the actions and decisions made by the moderation crew. You get an idea in your head and no matter what is said, you are convinced that it should go your way. Then you come into the forum issues thread and bring the same thing up multiple times. To make matters worse, you try to pull Cayne in, which is in attempt, from what I can tell, to go over our head. Thats disrespectful. Whether you meant it that way or not.

You wanna talk about caring? How about a group of guys and gal that come here in their free time and deal with a lot of work for no reward and barely any appreciation. Why? For the power? Thats amusing. Who of us mods throws around their power and abuses it? None! No matter how butthurt some members might get over being told no. Believe me, theres quite a few people on my list if I was moderating from a stance of abusing power. So, its not the power or authority. Its the love for this place that keeps us coming back. At times, some of us dont come back. Casualties are inevitable in this position. Burnout is a real possibility. Its the passion and love for this place that makes the difference for those that stick around.

As I have said in the past, we are given the trust and authority of the owner to run this place as we deem necessary to assure its smooth operation. Thats not new. This is how its been from damn near day one. Here we are over 16 years later. Things have changed, people have come and gone but the forum is still here. I think its in pretty good shape too. Guess we must be doing something right. How about a little faith and trust? I think we've earned that even if in the end it really doesnt matter whether we have your faith or trust. Faith, trust and respect do go hand in hand, though.

So, express your opinion. Just respect the response. Ease up on the aggression. Calm down with being so pushy. If we dont answer, dont @ every mod in the list. Theres no need for that. Make sure when you post in this thread, its about an actual forum issue. Thats all Im asking. I dont think its too much.

I've understood over the years that you Mods really struggling with a lot of shit ... and a lot of malicious people.
Know that you do it voluntarily and by belonging to this place.

You're just getting so aggressive, probably because i spoke to Cayne ... which we did in German.
Like i did with TheRiver before.

And calling me aggressive is just ridiculous.
Sure, stubborn and believe in change ... Sure !
... but never this:
Aggression or pushy.
