So no anti heroes or heroes who stray morally into violence. Good, cleared up.

I have quite a few candidates now. Obviously that evil Jerry mouse.

Is there going to be a permanent cumulative list of all SOTW entries (not just the previous week's entries)? If so, now's the time to start it, before the number get's too big to bother with it!

Perhaps a "Hall of Fame" approach might be preferred - just the winners?

i have said that for ages, but my posts don't get responses.

the voting threads should be put in the HOF.
in the second post, the list of entries in order of postion 1 to last postition.
these should be acompanied with a thumbnail (like in the safehaven) so they will last a helluva lot longer.
that way we can look back at all the weeks.

Looking back at the last 17 pages, Sid, that seems to be a common problem - everyone seems to be in transmit mode, firing off ideas and suggestions, and few are listening, or those that are listening want to talk about something else! Put it down to enthusiasm! ;)

I don't think the "operational" voting threads should go into the HOF, but I think that at least the winning sigs might. But who am I? I'm not even a SOTW contestant!

I propose that irish-sid should negotiate with the mods a suitable "display cabinet" and archive for the sigs created by you guys. The system currently in place is somewhat primitive, you must all agree!

also, bio, you just keep doing what you're doing, you have a great system. i just thought it'd be a better way to future proof them.

I don't mind anyone keeping some sort of archive, I thought keeping the winners displayed in the opening post would be enough. And showing the latest results in post 2. If you want to keep a total record, go ahead :).

I'll send you the names for week 1 when I get back from work, sid.

When listing the results you should really not display how many votes a sig received past fourth place - I've no interest in seeing someones hard work with their name and 0 votes beside it.

If you want to encourage others to have a go I beleive my idea would assist in that regard.

hmm, people would know how many votes a sig got when they look in the voting thread.

When you enter a competition you know there's a chance you're not gonna win. I got 0 votes in sotw1 myself and I learned from that. I look at the sigs that got a lot of votes and kept them in mind for the next week. I got some more votes in sotw2 and mark my words..... I'm gonna win sotw3 :p

I'm curious what the others think of it tho.

If people want to go through a thread and count up votes to determine someone got none then that is fine - just saying that to display it then in a result page beside their sig and name isn't the best way. Just my two cents!

    Don't confuse me here...

    Theme: Famous villians/bad guys

It is my understanding that a villain is the same as bad guy... I have seen some discussions that made me think we may be approaching it a bit differently. If I missed something let me know please.

I am approaching it with the fact that it is all bad guys (gals not included).

    Correct?
